I set up a wiki to track technology-related groups in Portland at <a href="http://pdxgroups.pbwiki.com" rel="nofollow">http://pdxgroups.pbwiki.com</a>. Please feel free to add any of these that you think might be relevant.

[...] The folks at Pop Art have launched a new group, PDXUX (UX = User Experience), for area designers and developers to get together (via). Looks to be heavy on Microsoft stuff. That’s not an indictment against the group (I code in .NET for a living as a matter of fact), but I do know that many developers dislike Microsoft’s proprietary ways and many designers dislike working with Microsoft technology. So, it will be interesting to see how it does. I’ll add it to the list. [...]

[...] I’m starting in on my fourth year in Portland (tenth in Oregon!) and I have a handful of technical group meetings I attend. If you’re looking for an exhaustive list, look to Web Things Considered. Below are my thoughts on the ones I know. [...]

I also should have mentioned the local Perl Mongers group. Lots of big names attend this group. They're going through a transition in leadership right now. In fact, there is a meeting on 12th of April at Free Geek. - http://portland.pm.org/kwiki/

I was just looking at the PDX Web Innovators wiki and thinking to myself "someone should compile a list of all of the tech groups in portland..." Then I click, and here it is. Since there's a few language-oriented groups on that list, you might want to add PDX PHP (http://www.pdxphp.org)
